FULL STORY: It’s the time of year for holiday parties. Many of us have a holiday party on the calendar that we’d like to GET OUT OF going to . . . but on the flipside, maybe there’s a party we’d like to sneak INTO?
In a new poll, 14% of people say they’ve successfully “crashed” a party or event without the host’s permission. Another 4% TRIED to do it, but got stopped.
9% of people say they have successfully crashed a HOLIDAY party or event without the host’s permission. Another 4% tried to, but were caught . . . maybe by Aunt Kathy, who was SERIOUS about needing a head-count ahead of time.
So is this a serious faux pas . . . or something that’s not THAT big of a deal?
It probably depends on the party or event that you’re “crashing” . . . but 77% of people think it’s generally unacceptable to show up without the host’s permission.
Another 10% say it’s usually fine . . . and 14% are “not sure.”
