FULL STORY: NO ONE wants to keep changing the clocks twice a year. And yet, it just WILL NOT DIE. But at the same time . . . some people are really over-dramatic about it.
There’s a new report out that says the average person starts “dreading” changing the clocks 11 days before it takes effect. This year, Daylight Saving Time ends on November 3rd, which means that the misery starts setting in TOMORROW.
Overall, 40% of people admit that they feel a sense of dread. Also, that dread can linger until about 13 days after the change, which will be November 16th.
The main issue is that it can bring on “sunlight blues” . . . because it starts becoming dark by the time many people get off work.
But changing the clocks also throws people’s systems out of whack . . . and that’s mostly sleep-related. 37% of people say they need more sleep in the days and weeks after Daylight Saving Time ends.
Those people say they need an extra hour and 24 minutes, in order to feel well-rested after the change.
