FULL STORY: This had to happen at some point, and I regret to inform you that the time is now: We need to take an in-depth look at “The Jerry Springer Show” and its impact on our culture.
Netflix made a two-part documentary called “Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action”, and it drops on January 7th.
It will explore how Jerry’s show became one of the “biggest and most outrageous TV hits of the ’90s.” But there’s more. The official synopsis says, quote, “Behind the entertaining facade lay some darker truths.
“As we hear from the producers and ex-guests, a murkier picture begins to emerge of the destruction it caused, raising renewed questions about who was responsible, and how far things should go in the name of entertainment.”
It’s actually too bad Jerry couldn’t be here to defend himself . . . and potentially answer for his crimes. He died last year of pancreatic cancer.
