FULL STORY: The appeal of Crocs is one of humankind’s most mind-boggling mysteries.
We don’t wear them because they’re luxurious . . . or because they look cool . . . or because they’re supportive, high-performance footwear. It’s almost as if we wear them in spite of all that, because they’re just . . . easy?
But there’s a new report out that warns parents about how they could be DESTROYING kids’ feet. There’s nothing Earth-shattering . . . they’re the same kind of concerns about flip-flops or other awkward-fitting shoes.
A podiatrist who treats kids and teens says she’s seeing issues that come from wearing Crocs all day, every day . . . “structural issues like heel and arch pain . . . [and] more hammertoes . . . because you have to grip the shoe to keep them on and so the toes are overworking.” They also can lead to blisters.
Basically, they’re fine for casualwear once in a while, but ONLY wearing Crocs can take a toll on feet, ankles, and even the rest of the body.
