News release from the Winnemucca Police Department:

On March 26, 2023, the Winnemucca Police Department received information that there was a deceased man in a room at the Cozy Motel. Officers responded and located the man, Ryan Johnson, 44, of Winnemucca and determined that he was indeed deceased. The scene was secured and Detectives were called out to investigate. There was no apparent sign of foul play at the scene but cause of death is pending the Medical Examiners findings.
