LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, Governor Joe Lombardo announced James “Jimmy” Humm as the new Executive Director of the Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB).
“I’m pleased to announce Jimmy Humm as the new Executive Director of the Cannabis Compliance Board,” said Governor Joe Lombardo. “Jimmy has done exemplary work at the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and I look forward to Jimmy bringing his nuanced understanding of state government and industry issues to his new role.”
Humm joined the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) in September 2019 as the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs and most recently served as the Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs. During his tenure at GOED, Humm served as the agency’s point person in the Nevada Legislature, where he successfully passed several economic development related bills and contributed to the approval and signage of several others.

Prior to joining GOED, Humm served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Liaison for the Office of the Nevada Attorney General. Before joining the Office of the Nevada Attorney General, Humm spent eight years at three Las Vegas law firms rising to the level of Director of Operations, the highest administrative position at his final two stops. Humm holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of San Diego.
