FULL STORY:  Tortilla chips aren’t cheap, so do you ever stretch a bag by awkwardly trying to dip tiny fragments into the salsa?  This could fix that.

Tostitos says they spotted a new trend on social media called “Salsa Cereal” . . . and apparently, former NFL wide receiver Julian Edelman was an early adopter.

His process is simple:  You take a handful of tortilla chips . . . crush them into a bowl . . . top it with salsa . . . and go to town.

They’ve created a social media campaign around it, with a video starring Edelman.  And they even put him on a box of so-called “Salsa Cereal.”

You can enter for a chance to win the “Salsa Cereal” box and snack kit, by following @Tostitos on Instagram . . . liking the official post . . . and commenting with the hashtags #TostitosSalsaCereal and #Sweepstakes.

Or you could just try this “snack hack” by preparing it yourself.  And if it DOES work for you, it could be a way to use all the broken pieces at the bottom of the bag.
