Netflix is rebooting “Little House on the Prairie”. The original series told the KIND OF true story of the Ingalls family, who lived on a farm in Minnesota in the late 1800s.
It was loosely based on the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and it ran from 1974 to 1983.
A Netflix exec says the new version will be, quote, “part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West.”
There’s no word yet on casting or a start date.
The original series streams on Peacock, where people watched more than 13 billion minutes of it in 2024.
